Yet according to the steps, one should already have applied for the proven testers group. The first sentence of Proven Testers Mentor Candidates is quite difficult to follow. I think there is a missing punctuation making this two sentences. Also, I'd make the sentence read "If a candidate has a preference as to whom mentors them, they must request ...."
