wtf? no desktop background image and no obvious way to set it in pcmanfm2

Just updated my F13-LXDE to latest, including pcmanfm-0.9.3-1.fc13.i686.rpm. 

I have a solid gray desktop, and no way, that I can determine, to set 
the background image. /usr/share/pcmanfm2/desktop-pref.ui is never
displayed.  Bug or feature?
