The availability of this option may be driver dependent. ATM, I'm working with Intel. According to Xorg.0.log, the Intel driver is "not using" Options: IgnoreEDID, EDID, NoDDC, NoRandr & Preferred Mode, apparently insisting I must use the horribly anachronistic 1024x768 on a display capable of 4 times that resolution. http://fm.no-ip.com/tmp/Linux/xorg.0.log.t2240-03-i845G-f13 http://fm.no-ip.com/tmp/Linux/xorg.conf.03-t2240-i845G-f13 -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
