This release value is a joke and good example of a case where common sense
has not been applied. Even if that may be the hash value that was used to
check out a snapshot from git, it is meaningless to the package users and
doesn't add any value at all as you couldn't change it without bumping
the most-significant part of the %release value.

Please insert the YYYYMMDD details and abbreviate the hash value as
mentioned in the guidelines:
