Just to keep the group in the loop: for the F13 release cycle we're planning extended validation testing for pre-releases and the final release, incorporating some desktop testing alongside the installation testing we've already done for all releases for a while. These will be based on the new release criteria which have been introduced with the advice of the desktop team. I have been working on writing test cases for this validation testing, and they are now mostly complete and can be found at: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Category:Desktop_Acceptance_Test_Cases We'll be writing a matrix of these tests, much like the installation test matrix, which will be filled in for each pre-release and final release. For each (pre-)release, we will aim to run all tests, but only the ones which relate to the release criteria for that particular (pre-)release must pass for the (pre-)release to go ahead - if the others fail that will be noted in the matrix but won't block the release.
