When a kernel is built by a graphics guy it is a good bet that it solves
some graphics problems.

Also the 1.7.1 X server is in koji now. I don't know that it helps with
stuff I was seeing, but it doesn't seem to have hurt on one of my machines.
I plan to have it on another one tonight.
