I've been using Fedora 12 Beta for a few days and I've had a couple of major issues with it. I've also blogged about those issues, my blog is aggregated on Planet Fedora. - the BIOS of the Intel DP35DP motherboard needs to be updated, or USB won't work at all with the new kernel: <http://vpv.kapsi.fi/blog/2009/10/fedora-12-beta-linux-2-6-31-5-rc1-intel-dp35dp-mainboard-requires-bios-update/>. I saw another user mentioning the same problem on the #fedora-devel IRC channel, so it's not just my system. - I have a video card, which is identified as ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450, with it the system hangs completely after a minute or two of desktop use. I can get the system working with either the nomodeset or the pcie_asm=off kernel parameters. Apparently it might be related to bug <https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=517625> or bug <https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=528593>. My blog posting: <http://vpv.kapsi.fi/blog/2009/10/fedora-12-beta-and-ati-radeon-hd-3450-nomodeset-needed/>. What do you think, should we maybe add something to the release notes about the Fedora 12 kernel possibly requiring BIOS updates on some systems? Is anyone else on the list seeing the BIOS issues I described? It seems like the Radeon HD problems are already being handled in Bugzilla, I'm just wondering whether my issue is the same as in bug #517625 or not. -- Ville-Pekka Vainio -- fedora-test-list mailing list fedora-test-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-test-list
