I've recently inherited an older Intel Mac Mini (Intel guts, not
NVIDIA). I installed F11 i386 on it and then upgraded to the F12 beta
(2.6.31.1-56.fc12.i686.PAE), but I can't seem to get audio to work
properly.
I created /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf and put in it:
options snd-hda-intel model=macmini
Hum
old mac mini probably the ones that the built in speaker never worked
on..
Use the rear jack you should get a get a sound if not try model=imac24
or model=mbp3 instead .....
ignore the extra "get a" bit tired ;)
Please let us know if this works or not if I can recall correctly there
was also a patch floating around for that piece of crap..
I can try digging it up if it does not..
