2009-10-08 - RAID Test Day report

Many thanks to participants of the RAID test day held this past Thursday
[1].  With Liam's guidance, we also had a list of RAID test cases
designed to target real world scenarios.  Not only did this event help
exercise these code paths in the installer, but helped to shake out
kinks in the test cases.

Also, thanks to Hans De Goede for providing updated live images and for
his help configuring an existing system to present BIOS RAID devices.  I
too can enjoy the world of dmraid!  The following bug reports were noted
in the Test Day wiki:

527913 NEW  - DeviceTreeError: duplicate paths in device tree
527952 NEW  - AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'disk'
498026 NEW  - RuntimeError: Returning partitions to state prior to edit failed
527965 NEW  - Unable to clone disk for raid
527969 NEW  - Device Setup Failed: device has not been created
526971 NEW  - DeviceTreeError: duplicate paths in device tree
528117 NEW  - Asking for cache data failed on raid
517260 ASSIGNED  - liveinst fails at partitioning screen
522609 MODIFIED  - AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'startswith'
528051 CLOSED NEXTRELEASE - Exception: device-mapper: create ioctl failed: Device or resource busy
527961 CLOSED DUPLICATE - Anaconda doesn't save partition binding to disk
527991 CLOSED DUPLICATE - Editing existing partition results in - The mountpoint '/' is in use.  Please pick another
528017 CLOSED DUPLICATE - Rescue unable to mount system on bios raid
527995 CLOSED NOTABUG - Problem measuring available size when 4 RAID partitions are on one volume - fourth partition is smaller than the others
