Many eclipse dialogs are not working for me. For instance when I try to create a new python project, I can't get past naming the project. Neither the apply nor the finish button do anything. Similarly, for a c project I can't add arguments to the debug launch. Again apply and debug buttons don't do anything. I tried launching eclipse from the command line but there weren't any messages. Any ideas about what is happening? i686 architecture.

F11? updates-testing? rawhide? java version? eclipse version? etc...

Sorry, I thought that i686 architecture implied rawhide.
I am using a current up to date rawhide. No special features.
from rpm -q
eclipse-platform-3.5.0-2.fc12.i686
java-1.5.0-gcj-1.5.0.0-29.fc12.1686
java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.6.0.0-31.b16.fc12.1686

I don't know which java engine eclipse is using. Removing either java package also removes eclipse-platform
