CD Audio

When I first started using Gnuradio on my Linux
server, the only line level input available was
CD audio. "Line" was not present as a choice.

So I connected a 1/4 inch phone jack installed in
a hand hole in the case to the CD audio pins.
This was much better than the flimsy motherboard
jacks anyway.

On my office machine, the line input connects to
a VLF receiving loop (with a preamp). The flimsy
1/8 inch jack is troublesome. A communications
receiver connects to the CD audio input via a
pair of RCA jacks.

The office machine does not have room for a PCI
sound card.
