ext4 is not built as a module but built into the kernel, so mkinitrd
does not have to do anything here.
The module will be there, but there may be lines in the /init script that
point to ext3 rather than ext4, for example having unpacked my current
initrd, the /init script includes a line starting
mkrootdev -t ext3 -o defaults,ro UUID=
