Greetings:
I know that this has been a running problem for a while now, so I have not
chimed in. I am still concerned about it as it is still happening...
Does anybody have a clue as to why???
I see it happen on an ATI card I have -- the screen blanks
periodically for about a second and then comes back. Really
frustrating when watching DVDs.
What chipset do you have?
Mine is intel
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82G33/G31 Express
Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 0a)
I think the problem is not with the card drivers but something above it.
For now, the gnome-power-manager is blamed for this. I have Radeon 9200
and also experienced this in last two days. I did not tried the new
g-p-m posted here in the list yet.
