hi, I lose the current situation about packagekit bug regarding updates notifications. In the sense that, if you are notified with updates available icon, then you click and select "show updates" then you apply them, you don't get the "success" window as in F10 (or at least it disappears after some time... I didn't find it). But the notification icon above remains. In this case if you again select it and choose "show Updates", it checks for updates and then it says "all software is up to date"....
