I know that upgrading via yum is unsupported an not to ever do it and

this:
file /etc/gpm-twiddler.conf from install of gpm-1.20.6-3.fc11.x86_64
conflicts with file from package gpm-1.20.5-2.fc10.i386
Shouldn't it be obvious that you're going to replace files when
upgrading a package?
Unsupportedness aside, it usually does work. The kicker here appears to
be that it looks like you're trying to upgrade from F-10-i386 to
F-11-x86_64. This will most certainly *not* work.
