X problems with Radeon X300

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Two problems have shown up running rawhide on a ThinkPad T43 with Mobility Radeon X300 video. One is that resume fails with a blank screen and a non-responsive keyboard after many suspends--but that's something that comes and goes with releases of the ati driver.

The other is a mail agent that vanishes in a puff of smoke when switching mailboxes. In gdb:

balsa: xcb_io.c:242: process_responses: Assertion `(((long) (dpy->last_request_read) - (long) (dpy->request)) <= 0)' failed.

with the backtrace

#4  0x018d7374 in process_responses (dpy=0x817ba00,
    wait_for_first_event=<value optimized out>, current_error=0x0,
    current_request=0) at xcb_io.c:242

#8  0x05d53d79 in g_main_context_check () from /lib/libglib-2.0.so.0

#12 0x0809df04 in main (argc=2, argv=0xbffff444) at main.c:1149

The errors go away if the MUA is run with --sync, or if the radeon driver is replaced by vesa--that is, if I cripple the display performance, one way or the other. I'm not sure what product against which to file a bug--or has it already been filed--any suggestions?
