Does not matter if yum-presto works or not.  If your download speed
is reduced by a factor of 30-50 due to a use of a really distant
servers then deltaRPM gains will be totally insignificant.

It still matters. The larger use case for deltarpms (imnsho) is in saving transfer quota, not time. It's just a bonus if you save time too, if you happen to be the type who likes to stare at update progress instead of multitasking.
