f11-beta didn't work. Got boot.iso from rawhide today to do a network install. It boots, shows the graphics choices screen ( install, recover,etc), boots vmlinuz, initrd. Then: Probing EDD (edd=off to disable)...ok invalid compressed format (err=1) --System halted This is on a pretty standard desktop: intel 775, 4500 graphics.
