I have seen that from time to time (though not recently on fedora 10),
and it appears to occur at random. Most times when I try the exact
same thing that caused it the first time, it doesn't happen the
2nd time. Haven't yet got fedora 11 installed to do testing, so I
don't know about new emacs...
