I need fully updated rawhide installation for prepairing
PowerManagement testday, and dont know, how to upgrade anything -> rawhide.

sequences of commands broke down system.

I assume by "fc11 dvd", you mean the Alpha release. The fix is to update
rpm first as I already noted. Wasn't that clear?

As noted in the Alpha release notes, you need to do
# yum update rpm
# yum update
This is because Fedora now uses sha256 instead of md5sum throughout
the
distribution including RPM for higher security.
