Looks like I've had 'better' luck. My experience is that on my laptop the KMS stuff appears to be sensitive to the particulars of the monitor: I connect my X200 laptop to 2 different monitors, one works fine "out of the box" (with KMS, gdm/gnome, compiz), while the other doesn't. For the one that doesn't, booting with "nomodeset" makes gdm/gnome work for me, and booting with "nomodeset nopat" seems to make gdm/gnome and compiz work for me. At least up to compiz-0.7.8-14. Have you tried that? tom - -- Tom London -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Use GnuPG with Firefox : http://getfiregpg.org (Version: 0.7.5) iEYEARECAAYFAkm9u2IACgkQuCS0flj2OB3PLACgzXv9jNIbHZfHihzJjlU60GSq k3cAoL+PrRVXqyQlzXViECR30gm5hCKQ =n6UK -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- fedora-test-list mailing list fedora-test-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-test-list
