For my stranded rawhide system, on the advice of folks in #fedora-devel,
I went to http://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/packages/rpm/4.6.0/8.fc11/
and manually grabbed those versions of rpm, rpm -Uvh'd them, and then
all was well.
