Hi folks, There's a log of today's (long and involved - but good) Fedora QA meeting available here: http://wwoods.fedorapeople.org/fedora-qa/fedora-qa-20090121.log.html Quick summary of the log: = F11Alpha status = https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=F11Alpha https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Fedora_11_Alpha_Install_Test_Results * Final deadline for new builds: 2300UTC (6pm US Eastern) Jan. 22. * ppc seems broken - if there's no forward movement on this bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=480842 then there will be *no PPC images for alpha*. * We'll try to get it fixed ASAP in rawhide either way. = Trac instance = https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-qa/ Yes! We have a trac instance! We'll be using the ticketing system to keep track of QA tasks. If there's something you need from QA - help writing test plans for feature pages, for instance - you could file a ticket here. = New main wiki page = Jóhann (aka viking-ice) has created a new main wiki page for QA: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Johannbg/Draft/QA We intend to replace http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA with that, real soon now. = QA Team guidelines = To make the QA team more organized, we're going to try to define a few basic things: * what it means to be in the QA group - expectations, etc. * define policy for becoming a QA member/sponsor * define the makeup of the QA board Further, we've resolved a couple things to help with better communication. These should be applicable to all groups, not just QA: * any plans/proposals that come from "watercooler discussions" or other offline/unofficial communication should clearly be marked as "DISCUSSION DRAFT / PROPOSAL, NOT FINAL" * We will avoid making important decisions (like approving proposals) without running them by the appropriate mailing list(s) first - preferably at least a week beforehand. * In this case, QA business will go to fedora-test-list. = Wiki guidelines = * We have a QA: namespace on the wiki, and test plans / cases / etc should be gradually moved there. * We need to establish naming guidelines for these things. * https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-qa/ticket/4 * We're going to create categories to apply to Feature pages: * QA Approved Feature Page * Features with incomplete Scope * Features with bad test plans Better descriptions of these items should go to the relevant wiki page. Hope that helps, -w
