Though I haven't had trouble booting up, kernel-2.6.28-3.fc11.x86_64 was the last kernel that seems to be working without trouble for me. Today, I tried rebooting with kernel-2.6.29-0.19.rc0.git9.fc11.x86_64, and it got as far as: Jan 11 01:28:00 free-spin init: tty4 main process (2340) killed by TERM signal Jan 11 01:28:00 free-spin init: tty5 main process (2341) killed by TERM signal Jan 11 01:28:00 free-spin init: tty2 main process (2342) killed by TERM signal Jan 11 01:28:00 free-spin init: tty3 main process (2343) killed by TERM signal Jan 11 01:28:00 free-spin init: tty6 main process (2344) killed by TERM signal Jan 11 01:28:01 free-spin NetworkManager: <WARN> nm_signal_handler(): Caught signal 15, shutting down normally. Jan 11 01:28:10 free-spin restorecond: terminated Jan 11 01:28:10 free-spin kernel: Kernel logging (proc) stopped. but then it didn't reboot. I left it for about half an hour, with the hard drive activity light flashing occasionally, but the Caps Lock light not changing when hitting that button. Previous 2.6.29 editions froze randomly when running X, so things do seem to be improving. The latest version, kernel-2.6.29-0.24.rc0.git13.fc11.x86_64 doesn't reboot properly either. It ends with some sort of kernel oops or warning on the screen (cut off, since by that point it's in text-only mode) but that may be from Bug 479553. Looks like things are in active development, so for now I'm waiting and watching things stabilize for a bit. -B. -- fedora-test-list mailing list fedora-test-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-test-list
