Seeing also, but downgrading x11-xorg-drv-keyboard did not work for
me, so some other package is caused the problem.
Hum not sure if it's relevant had experienced dead key issues
which version of gtk2 are you using..

Dont know if relevant, but: gtk2-2.14.6-1.fc11.i386. See reply to
self...rebooting with reverted xorg-x11-drv-keyboard fixed.
