I'm having similar problems with another HP printer that works fine with
earlier releases. Though removing and adding the printer allowed me to
print some things, but still not the test page. I filed error_log and
troubleshoot.txt under Bug 476612, if anyone wants to ponder the
mystery. I had previously experienced the symptoms described in Bug
473506 ("cups doesn't print PDF or PS") as well; not sure if the
problems are related.
