In F9 I welcomed, that it was possible to install whole KDE group just by
yum groupinstall KDE
I always use/recommend the safer
yum groupinstall kde-desktop
I'm surprised that works,
since there is no group given by "yum grouplist" starting with kde-desktop .
Assuming it does work, what exactly is the rule?
Can one specify any package in a group?
kde-desktop isn't a package. It is the groupid.
There are groupnames - what you see when you run grouplist
and there are groupids - how yum and anaconda refer to groups internally.
you can use either to install a group.
