I've been booting with the nomodeset option for several weeks as a workaround for this bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=461801 After I updated today, I can't get a graphical login unless I remove nomodeset. The original bug is theoretically fixed, so I guess I don't need nomodeset to work any more. But unless I remove nomodeset, I get a frozen garbled screen instead of a graphical login. I can ping the box and even ssh in, but X is sucking 100% of the CPU. Even after telinit 3, it remains at the frozen screen. I have to reboot to recover. Thanks, David
Start by getting your self up to speed.. Have at least kernel -109 ( the build for 111 failed which had some radeon fixes ) and drv-ati-46. Then re report if the problem still exist.. JBG
