This of course also causes programs like "fdisk" and "sfdisk" to
complain about cylinder boundaries and C,H,S values being incorrect.
Another aggravating case I ran into again recently: an fdisk partitioned 16GB Patriot usbkey fails to boot, but when using parted (or gparted to ever-so-slightly resize) it succeeds.
