Maybe I'm a little outdated, but /boot must be ext2.

when I installed F10 (actually F9.92) from the KDE Live CD.
When I formatted a partition (I used Custom Install)
I was offered ext3 or ext2, IIRC, but not ext4.
Less OT, can't one have ext3 /boot with ext3 MBR?
