MartinG -- Yes, I had stumbled across this bug report a few days ago. However, I don't think my issue is related to this. I haven't experienced any considerable amount of popping or "cracking." I have pidgin running like the person in the Bugzilla report and the sound with it is fine. My problem is that music just stops after a while.

Antonio -- You said you have the same problem. If you do what I said and type pulseaudio -k when it stops working, does that fix the problem and you're able to listen to things again? I'm honestly not sure where to file the problem either, but I feel it's probably a pulseaudio problem. I'm not really sure what you meant by "...problem can arise from the fact that pulseaudio is in rawhide..."
