I planning to remove tonight completely Gimp 2.6 and reinstall
it...let's if it fixes the issue.
what does 'rpm -qf /usr/share/applications/gimp.desktop' return ?
and 'rpm -V gimp' ?
You can also run "update-desktop-database" as root.
