I tried to boot the F10alpha 386 boot.iso (from os/images) and an f9
netinstall.iso (or vice versa, I'm easily confused) under Microsoft's
Virtual PC on Windows XP.
CentOS5 and various Debian/Ubuntu variations work fine.
I get a popup to then effect
"An unrecoverable processor error has been encountered"
"The virtual system will reset now."
and a "reset" button for me to click when I've read the message.
There's nothing in the event Applications event log.
The F9 kernel's last message is, "SMP Alternatives: switching to UP
mode." and F10A goes one further, "debug: unmapping init memory c07d5000
c07d8000"
This the same DC7700 I mentioned a few minutes ago, and hardware
virtualisation is enabled.
I'm going to look for a virtualPC update, in the meantime, does anyone
have any clues?
