and enjoy a display manager which actually works. :-) (And yes, you really have
to write "KDE" in /etc/sysconfig/desktop, not "KDM".)
I find this advice unhelpful. If something is broken, regardless of the
desktop environment, we want bug reports filed. Tom Horsley, just file a
bug report against GDM.
