Today attempts to run 'yum update' on a rawhide installation consistently exit with memory alloc failure. A run of yum with '-d 5' shows: ..... Adding Package xorg-x11-server-common-1.4.99.906-1.fc10.x86_64 in mode u Adding Package 1:busybox-anaconda-1.10.3-2.fc10.x86_64 in mode u Adding Package python-slip-dbus-0.1.7-1.fc10.noarch in mode u followed by a long pause and after that: memory alloc (22591320 bytes) returned NULL. That on x86_64 with 388M of free memory, not counting of what is buffers/cache, and barely touched swap. Clearly none of updates were applied as a result. Any idea what can be a culprit? 'yum' which was updated yesterday to yum-3.2.17-2.fc10, or recent changes in 'rpm' and/or 'glibc'? Nothing was wrong with updates yesterday. Updating first packages with names in a pattern 'k*', which took care about kernel related things and close to one third of an overall updates size, followed by the rest (58 Megs in 38 packages) did work.
