atheros a5k wireless in newer kernels: not working?

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hey. The 2.6.25-ish kernels supposedly support a5k wireless drivers, in
particular

02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5006EG
802.11 b/g Wireless PCI Express Adapter (rev 01)

found in core2 mac minis.

So, I tried recent kernels in rawhide out on mine. Although now the card
seems to be found, and when I activate NM and scope out the wireless
scene the usual base station suspects can be found, I'm unable to
actually connect to anything.

Still, progress.

Since this is newly supported hardware, I am not surprised to see
difficulties but thought I'd ask around here to see if there are things
I should try or what other helpful data would be appropriate for a
bugzilla entry.

best,
benjamin
