That's there so that people can easily get off of rawhide when Fedora 9 is released. For now magic happens so that you get the rawhide repo even when you ask for the fedora 9 repo via the mirror handler. (If you take a look where Fedora 9 will be eventually at specific mirrors you won't find anything.) However what you are running is very close to the final release. Only very serious bugs are going to be fixed between now and release. Other updates are queuing up and will be released at the same time.
