In my case I only use ext3 partitions without LVM.

Following indications in your thread, I removed comps.xml (and
comps.xml.gz), and then the installer tries to retrieve the list from
the net, except that the network is not yet up, and it fails.
I did not manage to get an IP by executing dhclient from the command line, I'll try with static IP later (I need to install a router first).
