In the last few days I've had a few issues with yum, and PackageKit transactions
failing to finish, and the processes needing to be killed. When I notice this,
I usually cannot run any other transaction either because they will all hang.
It appears something is damaging my rpm __db.xxx files... nothing rpm tries to
do after that works. Running 'rm /var/lib/__db*; rpm --rebuilddb' gets things
moving again, but it does not seem to last long before I get the same situation
occurring. So far, it seems like both yum and packagekit end up doing this, as
I alternate between them while testing. I haven't decided if yum was what
triggered the problem yet or if only PK is what causes it.
Has anyone else been running into this? I've removed those files about 10 times
so far and it should not be something I have to keep doing.
