Crap standards, intoxicated BIOS authors, bugs in our ACPI interpretor.. The list goes on. File a bug on this. It's a pain to debug these issues remotely, especially if you don't have a serial console or the like to get the logs out. Does it get to a prompt if you boot in single user mode ? Or does it die long before then ?
