Bill,
That is not the case for me, since I did a clean install yesterday of F9
alpha and then did an upgrade, and I removed nspluginwrapper
This is what Firefox reports
GCJ Web Browser Plugin (using IcedTea) 1.0
~ File name:
/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.6.0.0/jre/lib/i386/gcjwebplugin.so
~ The GCJ Web Browser Plugin (using IcedTea) executes Java applets.
