I also tried changing the LABEL=/1 into LABEL=/ with the same effect. The /boot directory in the rawhide partition contains: [root@lapmike1 ~]# ls /mnt/tmp/boot/ total 5700 88 config-2.6.25-0.69.rc3.git1.fc9 2616 initrd-2.6.25-0.69.rc3.git1.fc9.img 4 efi/ 892 System.map-2.6.25-0.69.rc3.git1.fc9 4 grub/ 2096 vmlinuz-2.6.25-0.69.rc3.git1.fc9 Also the /boot/grub directory in the rawhide partition contains only: [root@lapmike1 ~]# ls /mnt/tmp/boot/grub/ total 8 8 splash.xpm.gz Should I have stage1 and stage2 files etc in this directory? Can you suggest what I may be able to do to get rawhide in this situation to boot? Am I missing some files in /boot/grub?
