The nvidia drivers do not work with the X in rawhide yet, due the changed abi.
NVIDIA is aware of this, so you have to wait until they release a fixed driver.

got it from livna-development). Or did I miss the warning???

Its in the devel repo, no warning necessary. They do not work though, despite correctly compiling and installing with the kernel. The packages and the way the packages are built is working, which is what you'd expect from livna atm on that issue. :) The driver, when fixed by nvidia, should be quickly usable with a new build of the packages.
