The problem there, is that the process is terminated, but the pid
remains. but see here :
$ cd /tmp/pulse-adrin/
$ ls
native pid
$ cat pid
3248
$ ps agx | grep 3248
3248 ? S 0:00 /usr/bin/pulseaudio --log-target=syslog
9359 pts/2 S+ 0:00 grep 3248
and :
pulseaudio -vvv

E: polkit.c: Cannot set UID on session object.
I: main.c: PolicyKit refuses acquire-high-priority privilige.
N: main.c: Called SUID root and real-time/high-priority scheduling was
requested in the configuration. However, we lack the necessary priviliges:
N: main.c: We are not in group 'pulse-rt' and PolicyKit refuse to grant
us priviliges. Dropping SUID again.
N: main.c: For enabling real-time scheduling please acquire the
appropriate PolicyKit priviliges, or become a member of 'pulse-rt', or
increase the RLIMIT_NICE/RLIMIT_RTPRIO resource limits for this user.
I: main.c: High-priority scheduling enabled in configuration but now
allowed by policy. Disabling forcibly.
E: pid.c: Daemon already running.
E: main.c: pa_pid_file_create() failed.
process 8941: dbus_shutdown() called but connections were still live.
This probably means the application did not drop all its references to
bus connections.

Aborted
Did it help ?
