hi, if your avahi-daemon should not start since a few days remove /var/run/avahi-daemon//pid and try it again. avahi-daemon is now satisfied and can start again, at least here. -------- # service avahi-daemon status Failed to open PID file: No such device or address Avahi-Daemon läuft nicht # service avahi-daemon start Failed to open PID file: No such device or address Found user 'avahi' (UID 70) and group 'avahi' (GID 70).
