however i press enter login and type startx. I also removed
xorg.conf on the laptop because touchpad did not work, removing
xorg.conf did the trick thanks to you and others that have mentioned
this. Without your help, running rawhide would be more painful than what it really is :)

I added two of the errors that I saw in setroubleshooter that related to
gdm. I did not re initiate runlevel 5 yet as Dan suggested. I did run
the below already.
chcon -t bin_t /usr/sbin/gdm
