I tried running fsck /dev/sdb1 ( the / partition of the drive fedora lives on ,it said clean ) I rebooted and the system booted the -31 kernel , I'll see if it continues to boot . The question though is why when the boot scripts run from the -23 kernel did it boot normaly and not from a later kernel ? a difference in the way or sequence that kernals after -23 mount the drives ? __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
