Installing kernel 2.6.22.9 goes fine. But then I get this when installing
the kernel-headers RPM:
kernel-headers isn't supposed to be parallel-installed with multiple
versions. rpm -Uvh kernel-headers*.rpm
Funny, I had older versions on there (8 of them), and no problems.
But since you asked, take a look for yourself what happened when I
tried...
# rpm -q kernel-headers
kernel-headers-2.6.22.9-88.fc7
# rpm -e kernel-headers-2.6.22.9-88.fc7
error: Failed dependencies:
kernel-headers is needed by (installed) glibc-headers-2.6-4.i386
kernel-headers >= 2.2.1 is needed by (installed)
glibc-headers-2.6-4.i386
Do I really want to wipe out glibc? Let's try this...
# rpm -Fvh kernel-head*.rpm
Preparing... ###########################################
[100%]
1:kernel-headers ###########################################
[100%]
# rpm -q kernel-headers
kernel-headers-2.6.22.9-89.fc7
Wellllll....I hope that worked!
