The f8t1 LiveCD responds to an attempt to use the kernel parameter resolution=1600x1200 (via using the [TAB] key on the initial boot choice screen to edit the "Run from image" entry to add this parameter to the end of the: vmlinuz initrd=initrd.img ro quiet root=CDLABEL=Fedora-8-Test-1-Live-i686 rootfstype=iso9660 liveimg line) by echoing this parameter on a kernel line in /var/log/messages and never complaining about it with an error message, but it is ineffective (there is no difference in behavior with or without it). http://docs.fedoraproject.org/install-guide/f7/en_US/ap-admin-options.html does mention the use of this parameter, but I find the current vintage of the kernel-doc package to remain silent on the topic of such a parameter. Do you find this parameter to be effective when you use a plausible value for your hardware?
