However, plugging into the side ports doesn't see it work, although my USB drive works fine in the side ports. Looking at hal-device-manager I notice that the four back usb ports are listed as USB2 UHCI #[1-4], but the bottom side usb port is listed as USB2 EHCI controller and the top one actually seems to be linked to USB UHCI #4 (when I put in a USB drive, this is where it appears.) And now, after a lot of plugging in and removing my mouse, it seems to have given up recognizing it anymore.
